Nicéphore Niépce
A. Niépce had three siblings. Younger brother and sister and older brother.
He served as a staff officer in the French army.
He was baptized Joseph, but adopted Nicéphore, named after Saint Nicephorus.
B. Known for the permanent photograph, View from the Window at Le Gras.
C. It's is the oldest, permanent photo ever.
